A SEX beast is facing a lengthy prison sentence after being found guilty of a catalogue of appalling abuse.

The jury in the case of Sean Johnstone took just 90 minutes this afternoon to convict him of 28 serious charges.

The 42-year-old, of Wharton Terrace, Hartlepool, will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court tomorrow morning.

Judge Simon Bourne-Arton, QC, remanded Johnstone into custody and warned him: "The sentence is inevitable."

During a six-day trial, the jury heard the disturbing accounts of two women Johnstone beat, abused and raped.

One of them was threatened with a knife when she refused to take part in a sex act with the pervert's Rottweiler.

The court heard how he nailed shut the windows in his home and locked the women in before attacking them.

The jury of six men and six women returned unanimous guilty verdicts on all the charges dad-of-five Johnstone faced.

He told the jury that the claims "disgusted" him and said he was incapable of doing some of the things alleged.

He claimed a degenerative illness was so debilitating that he would have been unable to carry out the attacks.

The jury also heard how police found child abuse pictures and extreme pornography on three computers in his home.

Prosecutor David Brooke told the court that some of the images showed animals - including dogs - involved in sex acts.
