A CANCER charity is looking for hundreds of volunteers to help out with an annual fundraising appeal.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking for 800 volunteers from the County Durham area to donate an hour of their time in March to collect for the annual Great Daffodil Appeal.

Volunteers are needed to encourage people to give a donation and wear a Marie Curie daffodil pin. The appeal is the charity’s biggest fundraiser with all proceeds going to support people with a terminal illness in their own home.

If anyone would like to volunteer and support the appeal, please call 0191-219-1241 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil.
