Victim attacked in Darlington street left scene before police arrived

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was injured during an incident in a town centre.
Officers say the man was attacked by a gang at about 2am on Saturday, January 12, in Church Row, Darlington.
The victim is understood to have been involved in an altercation with a woman next to a telephone kiosk near Foffano’s restaurant when he was assaulted outside the Boot and Shoe pub, in Church Row.
Two men, aged 22 and 25, and a woman, aged 23, all from Darlington, have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault.
PC Stew Walker, of Darlington police, said: “The incident has been recorded on CCTV but the victim left the scene before officers arrived.
“We believe the victim was with another man and I would urge them to come forward.”
