A TOUCH of TV glamour came to the region recently when the cast and crew of a popular drama arrived in Hartlepool.
Filming for the next series of ITV’s Vera took place in the town across three days in December.
Episode four of the programme’s third series was filmed at Cameron’s historic Lion Brewery.
The main brew house and keg plant at the centuries old brewery will take centre stage for the episode, written by Marston Bloom and starring award-winning actress Brenda Blethyn as Vera.
The brewery, temporarily renamed Finches Brewery by programme makers, is currently the largest independent brewer in the North East. It was founded in 1865 by John William Cameron and is famed for its Strongarm brand of beer.
The episode of Vera will be broadcast as part of a new series later this year.
