DURHAM Alumni Big Band will perform at Spennymoor Settlement's Everyman Theatre, O'Hanlon Street, Spennymoor, County Durham, on Saturday, February 23. The repertoire includes big band music from Count Basie, Woody Herman, Maynard Furguson (correct) and Buddy Rich along with contemporary sounds of Kenny Wheeler and Dave Holland. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm.Tickets are £5 or £3.50 for concessions, from J Welsh Jewellers on High Street, Spennymoor, online at spennymoorsettlement.co.uk, at the theatre box office on Saturdays,10am to noon, or call 01388-816430.
