TWO men a facing court after police made a £7m drugs bust.

Around 30kg of heroin and 400kg of amphetamine was found at an address in Topcliffe, North Yorkshire.

Keith Anderson, 35, from Stockton-on-Tees and Aaron Nesbitt, 26, from nearby Billingham, were arrested.

They are both charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and amphetamine, and conspiracy to supply heroin and amphetamine.

The charges come after the huge haul was recovered by the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit.

The pair will appear at Teesside Crown Court next week.

Detective Superintendent Tim Walker said: “This seizure has stopped a significant amount of controlled drugs from potentially causing harm in our communities, and those farther afield.

"We have many more inquiries to make in this large-scale investigation. The North East ROCU are committed to protecting this part of the country from damaging and dangerous criminality.”

Nesbitt, of Headland Road, and Anderson, of Etherley Walk, appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday (Friday, January 11). They did not enter any pleas and were remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday.
