EVER fancied helping to run a cafe?
Well now is your chance.
Officials at The Hub, in Barnard Castle, hope to cook up a team of volunteers to help manager Chloe Broderick run the community complex's cafe Meet and Eat.
The cafe has just begun opening five days a week offering everything from a cup of coffee to tea time meals for busy youngsters taking part in after-school activities.
Miss Broderick said: “We have some volunteers but we are looking for more.
“I am looking for people to help with everything from cooking to clearing up. It is a chance to gain some valuable experience and will look good on a CV.”
The cafe opens 10am to 8pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 10am to 3pm on a Friday and 11am to 4pm on a Saturday.
Anyone interested in volunteering at the cafe can contact The Hub on 01833-690150.
