A MAN accused of murdering a great-grandmother in her own home has denied the charge and will face a trial in April.
Joseph Turner, of Sanderson Street, Darlington, pleaded not guilty when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court.
The 61-year-old will return to the court in Middlesbrough on April 15 for a trial which is expected to last five to six days.
He was arrested after police were called to a stabbing report at a house in the Spring Hill area of Darlington on October 19.
Mother-of-two and a grandmother of six Pamela Glen, 61, who is also known as Turner, was pronounced dead at hospital.
