A PUB is appealing for people to share their mining memorabilia so it can reflect the region’s industrial heritage in its menus.
The Miner’s Arms in Medomsley, near Consett, wants hear about the memories of pitmen and their families and use their photographs.
It could be food related and include the sort of ‘bait’ miners took down the pits.
The pub is run by Johan Steuckers, 46, from Belgium and Polly Herdman, 32, who is originally from nearby Blackhill.
Mr Steuckers said: “We want to create a kind of lifestyle magazine kind of menu so would love to hear from people connected to the mining industry.”
