ECHO LAST Choir seeking new members

A COMMUNITY choir is looking for new members following a successful first term.
Darlington “Sing” community choir meets at Cockerton Band and Musical Institute, in Woodland Road, at 7.15pm, every Wednesday, starting on January 9.
The choir, which began rehearsing in Cockerton following the closure of Darlington Arts Centre last year, recently played a Christmas concert with Cockerton Prize Silver Band.
A spokesman for the choir said: “Under the inspiring leadership of our musical director Bridie Jackson, we will continue to develop our repertoire of different musical genre.
“Initial taster sessions are free of charge. No auditions are required.
“We welcome adults of all abilities who just love to share the joy of singing.”
