Six arrested following assault

POLICE investigating an assault in Newcastle have made two further arrests.
The incident happened around 1am on Saturday in Colston Street, Newcastle.
A 23-year-old man was found outside the address with head injuries and was taken to hospital.
He remains in hospital where he is in a stable condition.
Earlier this morning (Sunday, January 6) two men, both aged 28 were arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently in police custody.
Four men previously arrested have been released on police bail.
Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries and are urging anyone with any information to contact them.
