Cannabis farm discovered in Sunderland house

A POLICE officer on patrol uncovered a cannabis farm.
A 200-plant cannabis farm, along with cultivation equipment, was discovered in the loft of a house in Sunderland on Wednesday night.
Northumbria Police said that one of its officers was on patrol in Saint Mark’s Road shortly before 11pm when they noticed the smell of cannabis coming from a property.
The house was searched and plants and equipment found.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
