A 16-YEAR-old boy appeared in court today charged with murdering a father-of-two who was stabbed in the street.
David Scott, 33, died in hospital two days before Christmas after he was found in the back lane of Rose Avenue, Stanley, County Durham.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Peterlee Magistrates Court today.
Following a two-minute hearing he was remanded in custody to appear before Newcastle Crown Court tomorrow.
Mr Scott lived with his mother Janice and his two young children.
After his death, she said: "His little girl is seven in January and she just wants her daddy back."
