A NORTH-East woman on trial for drugs trafficking in Indonesia today had her hearing cancelled.

Lindsay Sandiford, 56, was arrested in May after Bali police claimed to have found cocaine in her suitcase.

The hearing has been rescheduled for Monday when it is expected Mrs Sandiford, originally from Redcar will read out a personal statement.

It is believed the hearing was postponed because an interpreter was not available.

Previously prosecutors told the court she should be given a 15-year sentence after they chose not to seek the death penalty.
