Northallerton police are appealing for information following a burglary and the theft of a £6,000 road bike .

The Colnago CLX was stolen from a shed of a house on Forest Road, sometime between Sunday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 18.

The bike is black and red with Shimano wheels and is fitted with time trial handlebars, which allow the rider to clasp their hands in front of them.

PC Jon Grainge, of Northallerton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This is a highly distinctive bike and I am sure it will draw the attention of anyone who sees it.

“If you have seen the bike or can help to identify the thieves, please contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”
