VANDALS carried out a Christmas Day wrecking spree which left more than a dozen cars damaged.
Police are investigating a series of incidents of criminal damage to vehicles parked in Chester-le-Street.
Officers say at least 13 cars parked in Wynyard, Delaval, Third and Fourth Avenue in the town were damaged between 10pm on Christmas Day and 6am on Boxing Day.
All the cars involved had at least two tyres punctured and some had paintwork scratched down the length of the car or on the bonnet.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Chester-le-Street police on 101.
