FOOTBALL memorabilia is going under the virtual hammer ahead of Christmas.

The online ebay auction is raising funds for the Foundation of Light, Sunderland AFC’s official charity.

Items up for grabs include a framed autographed print of former England captain David Beckham, a 2012-13 Sunderland AFC home shirt signed by more than 20 first team members and signed boots donated by players Jack Colback, Craig Gardner, David Vaughan, Keiren Westwood and Matt Killgallon.

Former Black Cats defender Michael Turner, a summer transfer to Norwich City, and Ahmed Elmohamady and David Meyler, who are on loan at Hull City, have also donated items.

Bids must be lodged by December 16, with lots guaranteed to be delivered to successful bidders before Christmas in the UK, providing they pay for the items before 10am on Tuesday December 18.

Kim Phillips, the foundation’s events co-ordinator, said:  “Our ebay auctions give fans an opportunity to own unique items from some of their football heroes, whilst helping fund vital sports, health, community and education programmes in their region."

All auction items can be found on www.ebay.com, listed under the seller name foundation_of_light.
