A CHARITY based in the North-East has won a national award for its contribution to speech and language therapy.
The Newcastle-based North East Trust for Aphasia (NETA) won the Partner Organisation category at the Royal College of Speech and Language’s (RCSLT) annual Giving Voice awards ceremony in London.
NETA supports people who have aphasia, and their families, in the North East of England. Aphasia is a problem with communication (including speaking, understanding, reading and writing) that can arise after stroke or other brain trauma.
