KIND-HEARTED pupils have been collecting Christmas presents for some of the poorest children in the world.

Youngsters at St Leonard’s RC School, in Durham City, filled shoeboxes with gifts and other items, so they could be sent to the needy as part of Operation Christmas Child, run by Samaritan’s Purse. The filled boxes were collected by the organisation on Friday.
