Steve Waite, club secretary at Carlin How and District Working Men's Club comments on flooding at the club:
"We are just starting to make a bit of headway but the club cellar is still under about 5 feet of water. Local steel company Tata, which is based over the road from us, have been helping, they sent a tanker over and some lads who have been pumping water out. It's going to take a while to get everything right again. We lost power earlier and couldn't serve draught beer either.
"There has been a big impact all round but there's been a good effort from everybody. People from all over the village have been helping each other, it's been a real village effort. I think there's a bit of good in everything and people coming together shows that."

North Yorkshire Police say that while the flooding is not as severe as the situation back in September, the persistent heavy rain is set to cause further problems today and overnight into Tuesday.
The main source of concern is maintaining the main road networks in the county, particularly the A1 in Richmondshire and A19 in the Hambleton area.
At present one lane on the northbound carriageway of the A1 at Catterick Garrison is closed which is causing delays for motorists. The Highways Agency is continuing to pump the water away from the scene.
There is also a closure on the southbound carriageway of the A19 on the outskirts of Northallerton, between the A172 slip road from Stokesley towards the A684 Osmotherley turn-off. The A684 between Brompton And Ellerbeck, near Northallerton, is also closed to due to flooding.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue is pumping water away from the Friarage Hospital car park in Northallerton. South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have temporarily closed the occupational therapy department and cancelled all planned surgery for the day. The fire service and hospital staff are working hard to keep the hospital working as normal and are continuing to monitor the situation.
Chief Superintendent Sue Day, of North Yorkshire Police, is co-ordinating the multi-agency flood response.
She said: “All partner agencies are working hard to get the road networks opened up and to help people to protect their property from flood water.
“At present, we do not believe the flood situation is anywhere near as bad as what we experienced in September. However, we have the necessary preparations and contingencies in place should the conditions deteriorate.
“As always, we advise motorists to take extreme care and not to drive on roads and bridges that are closed. Please check the available traffic and travel information before setting out on journeys.
“Please also keep well clear of flowing water. This includes keeping pets away from this potential danger.”

Graham Cutler of Cuts Tyres and Exhausts in Carlin How says that his garage is under water and speaks of the impact flooding has had on his business and the local area:
"We are under water here, it is getting to be about knee deep. It is absolutely devastating. This happened in 2000 and it is happening again. It is like reliving a nightmare. The Environmental Agency promised it would never happen again but the measures they put in place are not doing their job and we do not know where to go from here.I won't be putting in for an insurance claim again, last time it put my claims right up and I cannot afford it. The lads' jobs are at risk here.
"Everyone is pulling together here and trying to help. The scrap yard have given us loads of big sandbags which have helped but they are being soaked through now. Everybody is doing their utmost to help. It is impacting on businesses tremendously but it is the residents that I feel sorry for. There is a 95-year-old woman next door who is really panicking."

The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton at centre of major flood alert after Sun Beck overflowed.
All elective surgery - non emergency - cancelled for today after drainage problems arose in three operating theatres.
Fire and rescue service brought in two heavy duty pumps to try and get flood water away from the building. However this meant water was sent cascading into the town centre causing further problems and the partial closure of the High Street.
David Pitt, local station manager, said they were desperately looking for different areas to send the water to and it's understood they are now ecploring if they can send the water on to Willow Beck which runs round the other side of the town.
However no patients have been evacuated.
The hospital's car-park has also been completely flooded.

SANDBAG banks are being created for residents of Northallerton, Stokesley, Thirsk and Bedale by Hambleton District Council.
People can collect up to ten bags if they are experiencing flooding or fear they may come under threat.
“We are doing our best to help people help themselves,” said council leader, Coun Neville Huxtable.
“We have put an extra shift of men on to just fill sandbags – our men will work round the clock to try to help protect people’s homes. By creating stores across the district home owners can collect bags themselves allowing our men to concentrate on the emergency cases.”
