FOOTBALLERS cut a dash on the catwalk as they modelled the latest designs.
Sunderland players including Fraizer Campbell and Phil Bardsley took part in the Fashion Strikes event at the Stadium of Light last night to raise money for the club’s charity section, the Foundation of Light.
The night had a James Bond theme to mark the recent release of the latest 007 blockbuster Skyfall, and there was music from X Factor contestant Carolynne Poole.
The foundation works with youngsters and their families and runs several educational programmes.
Mr Bardsley said: “It is a bit of fun for the foundation and it will raise a bit of money for the charity, which is valuable for the people of Sunderland.
“It’s nice for the boys to get involved and participate in it as well. A few of the lads last year, (Anton) Ferdinand and Bolo Zenden, were pretty decent at it.
“I’d say this year Fraizer Campbell thinks he can strut his stuff for a bit.
Matt Kilgallon has been in the mirror for about threeand- a-half hours beforehand, so he’ll be looking forward to getting up there and walking down the catwalk.”
