SUNDERLAND players will strut their stuff on the catwalk in a charity show for the club’s charity arm.

The fifth annual Fashion Strikes will be hekld on Tuesday November 20 at the Stadium of Light to raise money for the Foundation of Light.

Players including Phil Bardsley, Lee Cattermole, Fraizer Campbell and Adam Johnson will take to the catwalk with youngsters who have taken part in Foundation of Light’s community programmes.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond franchise, the event has been titled Fashion Strikes: Catwalk Royale and given a 007 theme running through the evening.

The night will include a dinner and entertainment from X Factor finalist Carolynne Poole and auction.

Foundation of Light Events Coordinator Katrina Quinn said: “This year’s Fashion Strikes is shaping up to be our biggest yet.

“Last year’s event raised more than £25,000 to support our education, community, health and sport programmes and we are aiming to surpass that.”

Player Phil Bardsley said: “Fashion Strikes is a fantastic event and something that the players are always happy to get involved. It gets bigger and better every year and I’m sure this year’s will be no exception.”
