RESIDENTS of a home for disabled people will enjoy a Christmas fair thanks to councillors.

Crook North county councillors John Bailey and Patricia Jopling have given £150 from their Members Initiative Fund to the Leonard Cheshire Home based in Bradbury House in Crook.

The money will go towards a Christmas fair being held for the residents.

Coun Bailey said: “We are very honoured as councillors to provide some funding for this as it will give the residents a nicer time.”

Coun Jopling said: “It is lovely to help these groups out and wish them all well and a special thanks to Gemma, Sonia and Teresa plus all the staff for a great job which they do.”
