Victim: Dean Laing, 38
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Officers confirmed that the 37-year-old man from County Durham was being interviewed by detectives in Durham today (Sunday, November 11).
A post mortem examination has found that Dean Laing, 38, of Gilesgate, Durham, died as a result of head injuries.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "As enquiries into Dean's death continue, police want to speak to anyone who may have seen a silver Vauxhall Astra being driven in Claypath, Durham City, at around 2.30am on Saturday, November 10.
"This was a private vehicle, not a taxi."
Anyone with information is asked to ring Durham police on 101.
