DRAMA students have enjoyed an acting masterclass led by one of the stars of a touring theatre production.
Daniel Taylor, currently starring as Sammy in Blood Brothers at Darlington Civic Theatre, visited Hummersknott Academy, in Darlington, to give some tips to GCSE drama students.
The pupils had the chance to ask Mr Taylor questions about his role and pick up advice on how to understand and portray characters.
Sophie Miller, 15, said: “Taking part in the workshop really brought the roles to life and put them into context. I would feel far more confident now taking part in a production in the future.”
Alice Weedy, 15, added: “I thoroughly enjoyed gaining new skills from a professional actor which I hope will help me improve my future performances.”
The students will also attend tonight’s (Thursday) performance of Blood Brothers by Mr Taylor and his cast mates.
