DEVOTED charity supporters gave up their beds for the night to raise money for a good cause.
Dozens of people slept out at East Durham College’s Houghall campus, near Durham City, to raise money for Centrepoint, a charity which works with homeless young people.
It was the eighth annual sleep out organised by Centrepoint but was the cause’s biggest yet, taking place in eight cities across the UK including London.
Charity bosses hope the event will raise £250,000 to help them house and support homeless young people over the challenging Christmas period.
To donate, visit justgiving.com/Sleep-Out-2012 or text ‘CPS012 £10’ to 70070.
Among those taking part were The Chilly Fillies, a four-strong group of workmates from Derwentside Homes. Anyone wanting to sponsor them can do so online at justgiving.com/ChillyFilliesSleepOut
