16 March U12A's put in a battling performance to take all three points against a spirited Thirsk Falcons side. Danny Pearce scored two fine first half goals and although Thirsk got one back in the second half Norton ran out 2-1 winners. Best on the day for Norton were Josh "mini" Greenan and stand in keeper Ben Kemp.

Sunderland RCA 0-1 N&SA U16's (Durham Cup quarter final)

Norton U16's started at a cracking pace and adapted to the artificial surface much quicker than Sunderland RCA. The home goalkeeper made some good saves as Norton piled on the pressure during the early exchanges. RCA came more into the game as the first half progressed but sterling work from James Cass in Norton’s defence kept them at bay. It was an even game now as both sides strived for the opening goal but at half time the score remained at 0-0. Norton started the second half much the same as the first by piling early pressure onto the RCA defence. The breakthrough came after10 minutes of the second half when Ged Livingstone was released to race down the left wing and provide a cross for John Allison to drill home a low first time shot past the RCA keeper from 10 yards. RCA strove gamely for an equaliser after this and both teams gave as good as they got but some strong headed clearances from Jamie Jewson and timely tackles by Adam Nicholson kept Norton’s grip on the game.

The U8s played only their 4th league game and kept up their 100% record with a good win at Hartlepool St Francis. Man of the Match Jack Rouse provided the passes for two Josh Wood goals, while Billy Sheard fired in a trademark rocket direct from a free kick. In between, St Francis responded to keep it close. Two good one-on-one saves from Harry Peake kept Ancients in the driving seat, with good defending from the boys at the back, and a hard working performance from the tireless Billy Manning. St Francis 1 Norton 3 Norton U12A’s put in one of their best performances of the season to come away from Ferryhill with all three points. After a blistering start Norton never looked back and even though conditions were poor Norton rattled in nine goals. Goal scorers were Josh "mini" Greenan 2, Danny Pearce 2, Ben Kemp and brilliant 4 from man of the match Sonni Coleman who led the line superbly. Ferryhill did battle and scored three goals themselves but the result was never in doubt. Best on the day for Norton were Sonni Coleman and Peter Hoyle. Ferryhill 3 N&SA 9 N&SA U16’s started strongly playing some good football in the early stages. They were denied a goal during this period by a combination of the woodwork and some good saves from the South Park goal keeper. Midway through the first half however, Ged Livingstone scored two goals in two minutes. The second of which was a result of some good work from Adam Todd and Joe Minto. Josh Sutcliffe had a great first half for Norton. South Park started the second half spiritedly and both teams had to cope with a strong wind. It wasn’t long before Norton increased their lead as Tom Lee floated a ball in from outside the box which deceived the South Park keeper to put Norton three up. Ged Livingstone continued in goal scoring mode when he crashed the ball in from a tight angle to complete his hat trick. Callum Hassan completed the scoring with two well taken headers to give Norton a deserved victory.

Norton U12B’s put in a battling performance to come away from Hartlepool with all three points. After a blistering start Norton were two up within 15 minutes, Josh Rayner and Ethan "Ozzy" Oswald getting the goals. Juniors pulled one back before half time but Norton regained there two goal cushion with Danny Pearce goal. Again Juniors came back to make it 2-3 but Norton secured the points when top scorer Sonni Coleman bagged two late on. FT 2-5. Best on the day for Norton were Josh "mini" Greenan and Sonni Coleman.

N&SA U16’s ended up comfortable winners of this entertaining League Cup tie against their greatest rivals. Norton started the better and went 1-0 up after an own goal but Marton finished the half the stronger. Norton hit the post early in the second half but it was Marton who equalised through Decosmo and were looking good at that stage. Norton striker John Allison then took the game by the scruff of the neck firstly mesmerising three Marton defenders to cross for Livingstone to make it 2-1. Marton then hit back with a great strike from Nelson. Allison again produced a moment of magic to leave defenders scattered all over the floor and drilled a left foot shot high into the net. Josh Sutcliffe made it 4-2 with his first touch and Allison again beating two men chipped the ball to the far post for Livingstone to finish easily. Man of the match the irrepressible John Allison with a fantastic display of skill and close control. Norton 5 Marton 2. Norton U12A’s travelled to Marton to play their rearranged League Cup game and in a close tie Marton ran out 3-1 winners. Marton had the better of the first half and went in two goals up. Norton were much the better side in the second half and created the better chances but it was Marton who got a third goal against the run of play. Norton did eventually get a goal. Their play deserved when top scorer Sonni Coleman headed home. A great all round team performance in Norton's first game since early November. Marton3 N&SA 1.

Norton & Stockton Ancients U16 5 V Sunderland Nissan U16 0 Norton won this Durham Cup 4th round tie comfortably in the end with an assured performance on a greasy surface against a resilient opposition. Ged Livingstone takes the honours bagging all 5 goals, the pick being the fourth which was a bicycle kick volley superbly executed. Nissan defended strongly but NASA just had too much quality, the standard of football produced by NASA in the conditions was unbelievably high and alongside Livingstone were fine performances from Tom Hinchley, Phil Bulmer and Jamie Jewson. Norton and Stockton U11A (sponsored by S G Welding) took on Spraire Lads. A much anticipated game with a net banging performance Norton went in half time 1-9. A penalty gave Spraire hope, but Norton were in full control with goals from Michael Walls, Mitchell Little, Ben Jackson, James Cox and Lewis Reece. Full time score 1-12. Man of the match Michael Walls. A merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all.

Norton U12A’s were on their travels yet again being drawn away to Russell Foster Premier League leaders Sunderland AFC Foundation Reds. Norton put up a battling performance but found Reds just too strong. Sonni Coleman put Norton ahead midway thru the half but Reds equalised before half time. Reds were 3-1 inside the first 10 minutes of the second half but Norton pulled a goal back late on when Harvey Swann slammed the ball home. In a frantic last 5 minutes Norton pushed for an equaliser but Reds held out. FT3-2 Norton U11A hosted Barnard Castle U12s in the Durham Cup and though losing 0-3 they put up a valiant effort with chances to take the game whilst winning the respect from Barny who where more than impressed with the Norton football. In the battle of the Norton U12's it was the A team that narrowly came out on top. In a tight game the A’s took the lead minutes into the second half when Sonni Coleman turned in a Harvey Swann free kick. The B’s battled back and equalised after a fine double save from Jonny Kinson in the A’s goal. With ten minutes to go Harvey Swann scored a great solo goal to put the A’s ahead again but with minutes remaining the B’s snatched an equaliser with a shot from distance. With only seconds on the clock Sonni Coleman pounced to give the A’s all three points. Best on the day for the A were Josh Rayner and Sonni Coleman.
