Middleton Rangers U11's Lead the Way
Middleton Rangers became the first Darlington team in the 'Teeside Junior Football Alliance League' to achieve a championship this season. This was claimed at last weeks match, against Middlesbrough rivals Cargo Fleet. Middleton acquired 3 more points which made it mathematically impossible for all the other league teams to catch them. Les Hughes (Manager and Club Chairman) was ecstatic saying "The team had excelled all expectations and have done themselves, parents and the club proud" Head Coach Mick Malcolm (junior coach of 25yrs) claimed "This team is tremendous and is one of the best he has coached. The speed, fitness and teamwork have really played a big part in the team's success." Mike Lincoln (coach) explained, "This was a magnificent team effort and I am pleased to be part of a trophy winning team." Middleton have won the last 18 games and are hoping to win the last 2 remaining games too set a club record winning 20 out of 20 league matches.
