The disappointment of recent results for rangers was laid to rest with their best performance this season. The teams hard work finally paid off with their first win of the season. Rangers were outstanding in all areas of the pitch. Conner P man of the match was exceptional in goal pulling off some great saves to keep Rangers in the game early on. Harry alongside Alastair were accomplished defenders and looked comfortable at the back. The midfield trio of Conner W , Haani and Danny earned their extortionate salaries battling but also playing some excellent football. Saafi once again played well as a lone striker with several shots on goal in the first half, He was rewarded with a goal in the second half with Danny adding a very good second late on to kill the game. Matty came on in the final moments for Conner W to steady the ship and play a important role in getting the win. This was a magnificent team effort and the hard work of training is finally paying off. Congratulations Lads keep the good work up! Middleton Rangers U10"B" vs East Durham Vulcans.

Rangers were top by goal difference and they wanted to stretch this.

The game got underway and Vulcans from the start we camped in their own box The first five minutes was a game of pinball with Rangers trying to break the deadlock, eventually the pressure paid off and Nathan Stephenson slotted home along range shot, this started the onslaught, goals started to come thick and fast. A pinball event in the box ended with Lewis Macdonald slotting in the goal. furth goals from Nathan and Davy Parker ended the first half 5 - 0. The second half continued and pressure was growing all the time, goals from Lewis Macdonald, Lewis Rees, Nathan Stephenson and a lovely second half hatrick from kieron Cormack sealed the victory, Final Score 12 - 0 to Rangers.

The Second was against Grindon, and was going to be a good test for the improving Rangers team. For both games this weekend we were without out star goal keeper Andrew Macnab so the presure was on the team. Grindon were a strong physical team from the start and Rangers would have be on top form. The defence of Alex Cox and Alexander Nelson were holding strong and firm in front of Max Tennant covering for the missing Andrew.

Rangers were playing to fantastic flowing football and the deadlock we broken with a long strike onto the inside of the post by Nathan Stephenson.a lovley passing move led to a great finish by Davy Parker.

The first half ended 2 - 0, the second half started with more pressure from Rangers and Grindon were struggling to cope with the skill of Rangers. Grindon started to try and use their weigh to influence the game with some strong tackling, but Rangers let their football do the talking, Goals from Davy Parker, Lewis Macdonald and a great individual effort from Lewis Rees left the score at the end of the match at 5 - 0 to Rangers. Another great weekend for the Rangers.

Norton and Stockton 1 vs Middleton Rangers U9's 2 Durham Challenge Cup Middleton began the game by putting the home side under pressure from the start. Man of the match Rhys King went close on a couple of occasions before finally breaking the deadlock with a superb shot after 5 minutes. Middleton continued to press forward but couldn't add to the score line and were pegged back right on half time when Norton equalised from a corner. The second half continued in much the same way with Middleton attacking constantly. They regained the lead five minutes into the second half when Coel Young scored with a volley from a corner. Norton put the visitors under pressure in the final moments but Owen Heilbron made good stops to keep Norton at bay. A great all round team performance.

In the friendly Norton ran out 3-0 winners in this match but Middleton were unlucky not to score as they had good opportunities throughout the game, only to be denied by the home keeper. James Green had an outstanding game at centre half with the rest of the team performing excellently.

Middleton Rangers U11's make it to the TJFA league cup quarter finals. Middleton won Prissick Rovers 5:0 giving them 8 consecutive wins, in the cup and league. Middleton took the game to Prissick who gave a 'fight back' in the second half but unfortunately for them they could not find the back of the net. The Division 6 team from Middleton St George have started there 1st 11 aside season with a 'bang' making the transition from 7 aside to 11 look easy. The whole team and everyone involved have put lots and lots of effort to make this team a 'so far so good' success story. Lets hope they can keep it up? MOM Aaron Chapman. Goal score's? Joe Abbott 2, Luca Dunn 1, Jake Richardson 1 & Aaron Chapman 1.

Rangers 2 - 9 Loftus A weakened Rangers team struggled to start this game in a positive way conceding 5 goals early in the match. Once they settled they started to play to some good football with Joe Hepple a constant threatening outlet on the left wing. however they never managed to get back into a game which they had allowed to get away from them in the first ten minuets and Matthew Allenbys brace finished up only been a consolation in a difficult match. Goals :- Allenby 2 MoM :- Bradford Rangers Under 12's are currently looking for new players to strengthen there team if you are interested in joining a family friendly team call Stewart on :- 07894869753
