Allstars Bradley Simpson gets 2 against the poles

France trip 2008 Over the weekend of April 18th 21st Allstars u14's team , sponsored by Noble Self Drive , played in an u15s International Tournament in Amiens France , this meant all other teams were at least one year older than the Allstars, the games were to be 11 aside , 20 minutes on a full size pitch.

They played five games on the saturday with the first against a Polish side which was won 2-0 with Bradley Simpson getting both goals.Unfortunately the next game against a team from Moldova they lost 2-0 , the third game against Amiens academy side the Allstars went down 3-0 and now fatigue was starting to set in , the last two games against two more french academey sides the Allstars found it very hard going against older and bigger kids , but still managed to finish fifth to go into play offs with other similar teams.

On the sunday they beat a side from Romania 5 - 3 on penaltys with Johny Hawman unlucky not to save more than just the one, in their play off final they beat Metropole from France1-0 with a terrific free kick from David Hookway. This meant they finished 9th out of twelve teams, not bad for a team playing kids one year older than themselves.

The lads stayed with french families similar to an exchange trip and enjoyed the whole experience very much and would like to thank Noble Self Drive Hire , P & E Coaches and Christine Jones (our interpreter) for all their help.
