Consett mischiefs go through in the under 7's cup competition after hitting Hebburn Reyrolle for six with no reply, Harry Stocker was Consett's star player and the goals were provided by McKenzie Milner 2, Matthew Lumley 2 and Sam Overal 2.

Matthew "Masher" Lovett in goal had another game with not a lot to do but still managed to pull off the save of the day when he turned mid flight to save a deflected shot in the first half to keep another clean sheet.

One of McKenzie's goals was a superb header which is rare at this age. It came from a well taken corner courtesy of Alex Johnson who is earning a reputation as a corner delivery specialist. Just like his dad! someone said, before I corrected them, "No that's a pizza delivery specialist".

Under 9s

An excellent show from Jarod Boyes was in vain as Consett sharks lost 3-0 to Cleveland Hall in the Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League.

Consett took the lead after only one minute courtesy of a superb goal by Amy Allinson who made no mistake with a powerful shot into the Beamish goal.

Beamish battled hard to get back in and it was always going to be a close game. One of the Beamish goals came straight from the corner spot and went in just under the right angle of the far post!
