While most people have been watching the fantastic performances at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Manchester the divers at DASC have been away in Leeds and Harrogate representing the town and they brought back another haul of medals.
Michael Palmer picked up 2 N&D Gold and 2 N&D Silver, Emily Pattinson took 2 N&D Gold, 1 British Masters Gold and 2 British Masters Silver while Dad Stephen took 1 N&D Bronze, with a Silver and Bronze in the British Master. In addition to the medals Michael Palmer came 5th in the North East 1m Springboard Championships while Stephen Pattinson and Lisa Sprentall both came a respectable 5th in the British Masters 1m Springboard.
Diving Coach Steve Jackson said "This is another fantastic effort from Darlington's divers especially considering the 1m training board broke a couple of weeks before the competition which has seriously restricted the preparation programme"
