DASC aim to provide training for local swimmers and divers but we are always happy to help any dedicated athletes who happen to be in the area if we can. Back in February we welcomed two young visitors from Germany who were on a two week school exchange trip to Darlington when they were looking for somewhere to keep up with their training.

Darlington Amateur Swimming Club swimmer, Tom Short, competed in the Two Bridges Open Water Swim (Promoted by the ASA North East Region) in the River Tees in Stockton on Saturday 16 August. Tom swam in the Boys 13/15 years agegroup over a 750m course and finished 2nd in a time of 11minutes 46.2 seconds.
