Teesside Basketball League
The TBL have organised a refresher session for all table officials and referees within the Teesside and surrounding area. The evening will last approx 2 hours and take place at The Corus Social Club, in Dormanstown, near Redcar on Thursday 27th November. Game Time are also looking to organise a Table Course shortly after so this session would provide a great opportunity to prepare for the course as well as a chance for existing officials to clarify new rules and brush up on their skills.
The TBL have also stated that all attendees will receive a free drink. The session will be very informal and is intended as a way to help improve clubs and officials, not test them. Wade Tovey, chair of TBL added "The aim is to update and inform those who will want to do the training. We are keen to identify demand as a result so we can combine efforts and ensure we have the numbers needed for courses for both referees and table officials. We aim to give a short overall brief and then split into groups. Please send your TOs and Refs along and anybody who might be interested."
The session will be delivered by Jacki Tyerman for table officials and Dave Murphy for referees. If possible TOs are asked to bring along a sample or two of recently completed score sheets to be given some tips.
