EURO 2016 kick-offs off today and a great many football fans will be making the journey to the tournament in France by car.

But drivers needs to be aware of the requirements for travelling on the other side of the English Channel.

All cars are required to carry a warning triangle, at least one reflective jacket, which must be put it on before getting out in an emergency or breakdown

situation and a breathalyser, though it is recommended you carry two single-use breathalysers so if one is used or damaged you will still have a replacement to produce.

With this in mind The Northern Echo has teamed up with motoring organisation, the AA, to offer five readers an AA Essential French Travel kit.

The kit is worth £24.99 and includes an emergency warning triangle, a high visibility vest, a magnetic GB sticker, headlamp beam converters, a twin pack of AlcoSense "NF" approved breathalysers and a canvas-style carry bag.

An AA spokesman said: "France is a popular destination to drive to with over three million people using the channel tunnel alone each year.

"In addition to the compulsory documents that you need to take with you, to be compliant in France you will also need to carry a warning triangle, high-visibility vest and "NF" approved breathalyser with a GB sticker attached to your car and headlamp adjustment so not to dazzle oncoming drivers.

"If you are planning on driving in France then our essential French Travel Kit contains the compulsory accessories you need to comply with French traffic regulations and laws, including the "NF" approved breathalyser twin pack."

To stand a chance of winning one of the packs, just answer this question: Which country is playing host to the Euro 2016 Football Championships?
