A MOUNTAIN rescue team has matched its record number of callouts after helping a fallen cyclist.
The Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team was called to Gribdale by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon following reports of an injured cyclist.
The 70-year-old cyclist had come off his bike in Gribdale forest near Great Ayton after slipping on the ice.
He landed heavily, hurting his leg.
The Team deployed their Land Rover ambulances to the scene and were quickly able to reach the injured man.
He was treated at the scene by members of the Team and a YAS paramedic before been transported towards Kildale and a waiting ambulance.
Twenty of the rescue team volunteers were involved in the incident that lasted 90 minutes.
The call represented the team's 62nd call-out of the year, equalling their previous record.
