Super serum for winter skin

As we edge our way into winter, the question of how to maintain a healthy, bright, fresh-faced glow resurfaces. And one superstar serum has beauty bloggers abuzz.

Proaura Vitamin C Serum combines the skin-boosting benefits of vitamin C with Astaxanthin, the latest superstar ingredient of the skincare world. The serum promises to transform a dull, tired complexion into one that boasts a youthful radiance within just a few days.

Astaxanthin, regarded as one of the most potent antioxidants available, is clinically proven to be 60 times more powerful than vitamin C. The addition of hyaluronic acid means a few drops of the serum provide anti-ageing protection as well as long-lasting deep hydration. It can be worn under moisturiser or make up, and absorbs easily, so it can be effortlessly incorporated into a simple daily beauty routine.

Proaura product development technician Aleksandra Ptak says: “We had heard of Astaxanthin’s significant benefits, and since it has been proven to be one of the strongest, most anti-inflammatory antioxidants available, we decided to develop a serum based around this formulation. We’re delighted with the results.”

Ageing later

IMAGE Skincare is well known for its range of easy-to-use, paraben-free products, created by chemists and physicians on a mission to help women "Age Later". The latest additions to the IMAGE range are the MAX stem cell eye creme (£65) and neck lift (£110).

The former protects those peepers by targeting visible signs of ageing with corrective peptides and high concentrations of premium growth factors derived from plant stem cells. This potent blend helps to decelerate the cellular ageing process and protect skin’s own stem cells, improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and puffiness around the eyes.

And because telltale signs of ageing extend beyond the face, the firming crème targets skin wrinkles and creasing on the oft-neglected neck and décolleté. Its maximum concentration of skin-strengthening peptides and plant stem cells helps to support elasticity and define the neck and jawline.
