Adele: Cold Shoulder (XL Recordings)
For those that didn't know, me included,
the full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins
and she is supposedly famed for her love
of chocolate cake, eating up to one a day.
The product of Croydon's BRIT school
needs to break away from "the next Amy
Winehouse" tag quickly, mainly because it
suggests a conveyor belt of manufactured
talent.
Her previous single, the catchy
Chasing Pavements, was probably the
best thing on her debut album, 19, so
taking Cold Shoulder from the same
source may not be her wisest move so far.
