THE announcement of a fourth and
final MetroRadio Arena, Newcastle,
Kylie show on Thursday, July 24
completes another record for the Queen
of Pop.
Since her performance in 2002 when
she became the arena's quickest selling
female artist of all time, a record which
still stands today, the Australian singer
has continued to set the pace by
securing the North-East's largest seated
capacity for any concert, first single artist
to have four consecutive shows and the
highest-selling female artist (based on
aggregate show sales).

THIS summer Russell Watson will
be making an emotional and
welcome return to the stage for a
brand new UK tour which includes
Newcastle City Hall on July 7. When
Watson begins his tour it will be
nearly seven months after his
operation to remove a brain tumor, but
already he is well on the road to
recovery and is looking forward to
getting back to doing what he loves
most singing for his fans.
The Salford-born singer will be
performing a mixture of his well-loved
songs and material from his latest
album, Outside In, a release which
sees him tackling a repertoire chosen
while he was bravely battling illness
and determined to live every day to
the fullest. The singer is the biggest
selling UK artist of the 21st Century
and winner of four classical Brit
awards. Each of his records have
achieved multi platinum sales in the
UK and he holds the world record for
having an album at No 1 for 52
consecutive weeks. Russell has sung
for The Pope, US presidents, prime
ministers, Japanese Emperors, the
Beckham's and for Prince Charles and
Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, but after
his recent ordeal he cannot wait to
perform for his most important
audience, his fans.
