Starting with the end of the world
STOCKTON is set to be the host
of the End of the World
Festival, an art/rock celebration
of what's best in the performing arts
in the area and beyond.
The End of the World Festival
(Inteotwf ) will take place over two
days in the autumn and will
showcase genres including music,
dance and poetry. Kingsley Chapman
of Stockton's highly-tipped band
Chapman family is one of the
organisers, with support from Tees
Music Alliance.
He says: "Some bands think that
because they're not quite the same
as everyone else that they won't get
gigs - these are exactly the artists
we want to hear from and help.
"We want to assist and advise bands
with publicity, how to get people to
go to their gigs without relying on the
promoter, and how to get other gigs
in other venues in this area and
beyond. We have some brilliantly
talented people in Teesside but no
one seems to celebrate it."
TMA director, Paul Burns, adds: "It's
going to be great letting Kingsley
loose on these events - with one foot
in the art world and the other in rock
and roll, he's just the kind of
individual who can make this a truly
unique occasion."

perform should email details of their
