T-Rex drummer in tribute concert
A VETERAN of one of the biggest bands of the
Seventies glam-rock era will be performing in
North Yorkshire next month.
The Galtres Centre, Easingwold, will be
hosting a concert given by T-Rex - In Celebration
of Marc and Mickey on February 22 at
8pm.
Drummer Paul Fenton will be supported by
other top musicians, including Saxon guitarist
Graham Oliver.
Paul Fenton was introduced to Marc Bolan
by producer Tony Visconti in 1973 and played
drums on T Rex's Zinc Alloy album and later
joined them on tours.
Bolan died in a car crash in 1977 and in the
Nineties former T Rex member Mickey Finn
relaunched the band with Paul Fenton - who
carried on and renamed the band after Finn
died of liver problems in 2003.
The band regularly tours throughout Europe,
and also in Russia where they recently
played for President Putin, in the Kremlin.
Tickets are available from the Galtres Centre
office on 01347-822472 at £15.
