Priceless (12A)

BRIGHT and sunny French romantic comedy with Amelie and The Da Vinci Code star Audrey Tautou as glamorous gold-digger Irene who's put out when her latest sugar daddy (Veronon Dobtcheff) falls asleep during her birthday celebrations.

Wandering down to the hotel bar, she mistakes bartender Jean (Gad Elmaleh) for a playboy. He's happy to go along with the pretence, getting the key to a hotel suite so they can spend the night there.

When Irene discovers he's penniless, she checks out. Smitten, he follows her to Nice where she pays him back for his deception by accepting an invitation to dinner - where she orders the most expensive food and wine on the menu - and to go shopping. Then she walks out on him, leaving him both heartbroken and broke.

Help comes in the form of a rich widow (Marie-Christine Adam) who adopts him as her toy boy gigolo and instructs him in the art of seduction.

Priceless (Hors De Prix) is light and fluffy, lovely to look at and easy to watch. And not a green monster in sight.
