CHART-topping singer Will Young will be performing before an outdoor audience of thousands next summer - in the huyeart of a North Yorkshire forest.
The star, who shot to fame winning Pop Idol ten years ago, will appear at a major outdoor gig in Dalby Forest, near Pickering on June 29 Organiser Paul Cody said: "In a little over a decade Will Young has proved himself a massively popular singer and multi-talented artist. His Dalby gig will be a brilliant occasion."
Last week the Forestry Commission announced that Ben Drew of Plan B will also make his Dalby debut as part of mid-summer weekend of live music.
Proceeds from the gigs will be used to help care for local woodlands.
Tickets for the Will Young concert go on sale, at £35, on Friday, December 16, from the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400 or online at forestry.gov.uk/music
