Their last album, Alive, was voted Jazz Album of the Year in two magazines and I found this even more compelling.
The trio, with Jasper Hoiby on double bass, Ivo Neame, piano, and Anton Eger, drums, is beautifully balanced and there’s a deliberation and quiet intensity throughout.
Due out on April 2.
