The virtuoso jazz pianist has his roots in his native Jamaican music and here he combines both in an energetic set recorded mainly at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York.
Swinging (and that is the word) between two rhythm sections Monty’s enthusiasm and humour bring it off superbly.
