Subtitled The Music of Benny Carter this delightful album is a reminder of a remarkablytalented composer, arranger and soloist.

It features several of his pieces like Easy Money and Symphony in Riffs plus the title suite, originally commissioned by Mathieson for the 1987 Glasgow Jazz Festival.

Ken has very cleverly re-scored it for his eight-piece band and with Barnes as his principal soloist has produced a winning album.
