Pianist Andrew Mc-Cormack and saxophonist Jason Yarde made good impressions on their visits to the North-East, but there’s even more of a spark about these duo performances.

Both are profoundly talented musicians and this setting seems to provide a mutual inspiration which is a joy to hear.

The music touches on many moods, much of it thoughtful and sensitive, ending with a lovely reworking of Embraceable You.
