THIS is the fourth studio album from the American rock band, but the first without ex-guitarist Fred Mascherino, who left the band in late 2007 to pursue other musical ventures.
His departure left a hole for some fans, questioning what the next album would sound like without his signature sound serving as backup vocals.
However, new addition Matt Fazzi steps up and fills in the blanks perfectly. The band are now back with a vengeance.
They’ve picked up where they left off with the third album, Louder Now, maintaining the same style and sound, but improving it and adding new twists. Lead vocalist Adam Lazzara pushes his vocal limits on Cut Me Up Jenny, assuring us that he’s still capable of hitting all the right notes.
Track, Where My Mouth Is has a ballad feel and the instruments compliment the lyrics in true Taking Back Sunday fashion.
TBS have always felt like a summer band, making music to be blared from car speakers while speeding down a motorway, and New Again is perfect timing.
