of sweets in a factory in the
Green Dragon Yard. The
factory was in the former
Theatre Royal, where
Paganini performed in 1833.
  • TIMES PAST: Stockton High Street in October 1961.
  • FACING DEMOLITION: A derelict property in Castlegate in
February 1966. Councillors at the time were looking into
demolishing eyesores as part of a Bridge Road area tidy-up.
  • CAREER HIGH: A worker fixes scaffolding above Stockton
market in 1973.
  • SEEN BETTER DAYS: The Jubilee Hall in June 1972.
  • BRISK TRADE: Stockton market in November 1968.
