FIFTEEN years ago this week, Darlington and Hartlepool played the last ever derby game at Feethams before the Quakers moved to their new home on Neasham Road.
The Northern Echo reported a 'pulsating' match, with an inspired performance from Darlington goalie Andy Collett securing a 2-2 draw.
The report said: "What have Hartlepool United done to Andy Collett in a previous life? Pools must be thanking their lucky stars that there aren't many more like Collett in Division Three."
The previous September, promotion-chasing Hartlepool had thumped the Quakers 4-1 at Victoria Park.
Mike Newell's Pools side arrived at Feethams on the back of a ten-match unbeaten run, and Darlington's caretaker boss Mick Tait was full of praise for his side, who had to play with ten men after defender Ryan Valentine was sent off in the 56th minute.
"I thought the lads showed plenty of passion and commitment," said Tait.
The match saw seven arrests amid a heavy police presence.
